Yaudy's Style Cooks: Easy Shepherd's Pie

My mind has been on holiday food lately and since Thanksgiving is right around the corner this could be one of the many sides you can have at your table. It took me less than one hour to make and it turned out delicious, so delicious that there is not a lot of leftovers lol

What you will need:

1 pound of lean grown beef
5 or 6 medium size potatoes (peeled and cut)
1 bag of frozen mixed vegetables (you can have fresh, but it will take longer to cook)
1 medium size onion (chopped)
2 garlic gloves (chopped)
1/2 cup of butter ( I used margarine)
1/2 cup of beef broth
salt, pepper to taste (and any other seasonings you like)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Vegetable spray

Instructions:

start by boiling the potatoes in salt water (Cook until soft)
spray vegetable oil into a pan and add the onion and garlic until onion gets a bit brown
then add the meat and cook until brown
add the Worcestershire Sauce and the broth along with your vegetables, salt and pepper.
Let cook a bit longer

Once the potatoes are ready drain the water add more salt if you like and add the margarine or butter, mash with a potato smasher

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
spread the meat into a baking dish mine I think is 9x11
add the mashed potatoes on top of the meat (I spread mine with a spatula)
place in oven for like 20 to 25 minutes once the potatoes turn brown

Take out of the oven cut and serve....

Bon Appetite!

xo,
Yaudy
