Paris in September

Here is to 2017!! The year that changed my life for good and for better.  It started like a normal year does, full of dreams and goals. Many of those I completed and crossing them out of my list felt good, oh so so good.  This was the year that I most traveled, the year that I met the Eiffel Tower for my 40th birthday.  I did some growing and soul searching mostly because I always heard that when you turn the big 40 your life starts changing.  so, I took matters into my hands and ran with it.  Some called me old "my sister"to be exact  and some said that 40 is when your life begins.  Needles to say,  I am going with the second one on this one LOL I am a kid at heart and that will never change. I believe that age is just a number, what matters is how you feel. I learned to be comfortable with myself. I no longer care what people say or think about me, after all it is their business if they like me or not. I am more financially stable (finally learned to sa

T-shirt from concert / H&M jeans /Forever 21 hat and boots//Nordstroms belt bag SHOP SIMILAR Five concerts in a year means five different "concert" t-shirts LOL My boyfriend and I love attending concerts and to be honest, in the past I never bought any memorabilia until this past year.  All these concert experiences were awesome and every time I wear or use whatever I bought brings back all the good memories, I am glad to have all these goodies to style plus they make my inner rocker chic come out! Forever 21 coat and shirt / Walmart pants / Zara boots \ Shop Similar Christmas is in the air!! So many emotions during this time of year, sad and happy thoughts, but still it is my favorite time.  In the holiday mind set, I wore this festive pants to the Ridgewood tree lightning. I wanted to add a pop of color, so I added some red with my boots.  The white coat is a recent purchase and OMG I love it! Forever 21 sweater, lace top, beret and boots / Zara pants SHOP SIMILAR When you really feel like you are French hahaha When I bought these pants I wasn't sure how I would style them and  if I would ever wear them at work.  I mostly bought them to wear while in Paris and never thought I would be styling them so many times after my return.  I seriously love them and I'm sure they will make another appearance for one of the many holiday events coming. I think the sock booties, lace and sweater went well for a day at the office and the Parisian touch with the red beret for an after work dinner and drinks with friends. xo, Yaudy Cristina

I am sitting here in my living room looking outside at all the left over snow from Saturday.  I always love the first snow fall, specially ones like this one, where I didn't even had to clean up my car because it melted on its own. I won't get my hopes up, I know more is coming lol I wore this to the office a couple of weeks ago.  I am still in love with mixing prints, midi skirts and boots. Forever 21 blazer / Francesca's blouse / Cynthia Rowley pants / Dor L Dor boots Shop Similar With the holidays being around the corner, all I want to wear is red, red and more red lol I recently cleaned my closet and found so many items that I don't wear, some I donated and some like this blazer, tank and boots I kept.  I wanted to do an office look that could be easily converted into a a happy hour or even the office 'holiday" party.  If that was the case I will change the boots for a heel and probably put my hair in a high bun. Sometimes we get caught up in life that we forget what is really important. I made a promise to myself that no matter what is happening, I will always make time to stop and smell the roses. This guy you see here, has been my rock, specially last month when I had a health scared and he did not leave my side.  He really raises the bar!  I am much better now, but still have a little bit of a road ahead, thankfully nothing that I won't be able to handle.  But with the cookie monster by my side I am sure anything is possible! Zara top / H&M faux leather pants / F21 boots / Bag from Germany's market Shop Similar Did anyone else watched Miss Universe? or am I the only one who still does?  Well, if you didn't watch let me fill you in.  For the fourth year in a row Colombia has been in second place three times and took the crown home once.  How exciting is that!! I remember watching the pageant every year, and always remember how my mom used to kicked my father out of the room because he will be talking the whole time LOL  It brings back great childhood memories... Congrats to South Africa's new Miss Universe and congrats to Miss Colombia! It feels like just yesterday I was watching July 4th fireworks and eating one too many burgers at a BBQ.  Time flies! These were taken last week, on a rush, because I totally forgot that it gets dark out so early and I didn't want to miss the sunlight.  I'm glad I didn't miss it :) Is anyone else obsessed with moto jackets? I am guilty! Fast forward to now Nov 13 and it's a totally different story.  Heavy coats, boots and gloves all have made an appearance.  I usually put all that away in Summer and the cold always catches me by surprise.  I tend to forget where I store my things and last minute you either see me buying new gloves and hats or I am the person freezing all the time  because I can't never seem to find them on time before the cold front arrives LOL XO, Yaudy Cristina

Express has one of the best high wasted denim and even though I always have to go a size smaller because they do tend to stretch, their denim is still my favorite next to Levi's of course. The beauty of denim is that it can be dressed down or easily dressed up with a statement blouse, blocked heel pumps and a red lip. xo, Yaudy Cristina
