I have always been a renter it wasn’t until recently that my boyfriend decided to purchase a house.  Then all the new knowledge began along with some unexpected headaches that are part of home ownership.  Thankfully he is very hands on and knows how to do a lot of these things on his own, but he also has great resources if need be to call professionals. Here are the most important things we have learned since starting the process and all the things we kept an eye on before he committed to a house. Know your location I have heard this thousand of times. Location! Location! Location!   This is super important, especially if you are somebody like me that likes to go out and sometimes driving is not ideal.   It was very important for me he found a house close to public transit.   Since we live so close to NYC it is always nice to go in and spend the day, but it is so hard to find parking in those busy streets, taking the bus or train is ideal.   I needed ...

Give me all the tie dye please!!! The two biggest sale days of the year...... I have never been out shopping the Black Friday sales.  To be honest the madness kind of stresses me.  This year I have learned to love online shopping more than anything.  Yes- I like touching the items I am buying and trying them on, but sometimes comfort shopping is best.  Just a click away! I heard sweater vests are back and I couldn't be more happier... This year I have enjoyed the transition from Summer to Fall.  Every year I missed the window where you can layer and not have to cover your outfit with a coat.  I am surprised that it is Nov and the weather has been really nice! The challenge of mixing prints.... When you go to a balloon festival and buy pants :) Needles to say I also enjoyed the balloons, but I think I spent lots of time walking around all of the vendors and I am so glad I found these pair and they have a pocket!  What is it about women and pockets? LOL I am a woman and I don't have the answer to that, but I do admit in having a bit of excitement every-time a piece of clothing has them. I added a hat to this outfit one that went well with the bag and sandals I chose.  I am definitely enjoying this bag this year not that is the most practical, but it sure is one of the cutest bags I own. Maxi skirts and statement earrings!! Wearing a maxi skirt has become my all time Summer uniform.  With the heat and humidity it makes for a very comfortable yet chic outfit.  I chose to wear this black one because  I have not worn it in like five years.  I can't believe I forgot about such a gorgeous piece. I styled it with statement earrings and these pair are definitely a statement.  Earrings are my go to accessory, specially in the warmer months because they don't get stuck on the scarf or coat collar LOL Also, check out the linkup at the bottom of this post!! Missing my thrifting trips when I look at this outfit. These pieces were what I found on my last thrift trip before quarantine.  I often go see what they have and sometimes, actually, most of the times I come home empty handed. That moment when you shop your closet and find gems that you either forgot you bought or just items you haven't worn in a long time.  This dress is one of them! I forgot how adorable the off the shoulder style is and how comfortable this dress feels.   A dress is my go to style for the warmer weather and I cannot wait to wear this one again with sandals. Hello February! A little late start for this month but starting the month strong and wearing red! I wear red in February not for Valentine's Day, but for Heart Diseased Awareness Month. I am a survivor! If you have read my blog you know I was born with a congenital hear defect that thankfully was fixed back in 2017.  Now I spent this month celebrating my heart health and all the other many survivors out there.  Be sure to wear red this Friday as it's Wear Red Day. I wore this outfit a couple of weeks back.  I think is safe to say I love blazers, any style. color or print lol.  I paired this one with my Selena t-shirt and what have become my favorite boots. Romper purchased at TJ Maxx/Steve Madden sandals/ Forever 21 headband "Life does not have to be perfect to be beautiful" This is one of my favorite quotes, specially after 2017.  On October 25 of that year my life changed.  I changed. I suffered a TIA aka mini stroke due to a congenital heart defect I had, that I had no idea even existed.  I remember that day like if was yesterday, not by choice I just can't move on.  I have to work on letting go of the memory because even thought it was a shocking moment, God gave me another opportunity to still breath.   If you are wondering what caused this, I had what is called a PFO a little hole in my heart that let a blood clot travel to my head, causing me to go blind in my left eye for a few minutes. Yesterday I decided to go to the mall and do my walking.  I do that sometimes and it actually relaxes me.  I walk for 45 minutes and after I always get soup at Panera.  But yesterday I was getting a bit anxious because all the stores have Fall and Winter clothes displaying already!!! What is happening people?  I've lived in this country for a long time, but it seems that every year we are still wearing bathing suits while sipping on a pumpkin whatever latte they sale at Starbucks LOL These were lost files taken back in June.  Go get this dress for a fraction of the price, because the sales are really good now!
