Feliz Noche Buena

Image
Noche Buena... Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and Feliz Noche Buena tonight! Lets take a moment and reflect in the meaning of this very important day.  A day filled with happiness, sadness for some and remember the beauty of this very special time.  xo, Yaudy Cristina  *All pieces are old from my closet*

Green for the Win

Image
Holiday Colors... I wore this outfit not even thinking that the green in the pants reminds me of Christmas.  These pants are really fun, specially the cut out detail in the front.  Paired with a vintage checkered blazer and buckle belt, was the perfect office outfit for this time of year. xo, Yaudy Cristina *Vintage blazer and Coach bag thrifted at Goodwill / Pants and boots Shein / Belt thrifted at Valley Thrift in Ohio*

My Holiday List

Image
The holidays are here!! Here are some things I plan to do from here until January first: Visit the Rockefeller tree (one more time) I went two weeks ago Make a ginger bread house (with my Godson) See a Christmas show Watch Miracle on 34Th Street (as I never watched it) Try to schedule time to see some loved ones  Take time for myself... Holidays always feel rushed and as wonderful as this time is, it could get very stressful. It is important to remember to take a breather and just enjoy! Hopefully this inspires you to create your own list! xo, Yaudy Cristina *whole outfit here is thrifted*

90's Are Back!

Image
Cut-outs are my favorite! Fashion always comes back.  There will always be blazers and shoulder pads.  If I knew that back in 1991, I would have never thrown away my clothes LOL  This blazer is super unique and the cut-out detail is just fabulous. I definitely need to wear it more for sure. Happy Weekend! Yaudy Cristina  Blazer: Shein, Jeans: Levi's, Shoes: Jessica Simpson via TJ Maxx. Bag: thrifted

Coats Out!

Image
Another Fall/Winter season is upon us! The weather has been beautiful, but let's face it Winter is around the corner.  Number one item on my to do list is to clean my coats and try to find my gloves.  I cannot be the only one who always looses those haha This coat is one of my favorite vintage finds to date. The color and collar are just beautiful! Happy almost weekend!  Yaudy Cristina * All pieces are thrifted or found in Etsy *

Easy Summer

Image
One of the many things I love about Summer is how easy it is to get dressed.  A pair  of shorts, top and sandals and you are all set.  These pair of shorts I cut myself.  I have collected a few vintage Levi's jeans in different sizes and when I feel like making new shorts, I cut them.  If you don't know yet, the Levi's men fit better than the women ones.  Specially for long legged gals like me.  I paired them with a tube top I got at H&M ages ago and a thrifted crochet vest.  Added a braided head band and cute pair of earrings and I was ready to go. Have you ever made jeans into shorts? Please share! xo, Yaudy Cristina   Shop Similar

Covered In Leopard

Image
Is there anyone who doesn't like leopard print?  I don't think so LOL This outfit was a spare of the moment thought,  when I could not figure out what to wear and wanted to wear these pants so bad, but the top I was looking for was dirty type of moment. So, I decided to pile on all the leopard print I own and I am not one bit mad as how the look turned out. I have been so into this type of style pant. Super comfortable and wearable I want to wear them everyday.  These pants are a recent purchase, but everything else has been sitting in my closet forever. Hope you guys have an amazing weekend! A Look Inside the Octagon House

Image
Last Monday I took myself on a solo adventure and went to visit the Armour-Stiner House.  The Octagon House is located in Irvington, in Westchester County, New York.  It is a National Historic Landmark since 1976 and it is the only domed octagonal residence.  It is truly a master piece!   For only $33 dollars you can tour the outside and inside of the house.  All while learning the history not only of the house but of every single family that owned it at some point.  I of course had to dress for the occasion and wore this beautiful vintage dress, perfect colors for the house I swear I was blending in LOL   Needless tp say I asked the tour guide if there were any ghost in the house and to my surprised she said yes!  There is known to be a French decent girl living in the house and one of the owners wrote about her in his books.  The moment I heard that I immediately booked my Fall tour because during spooky season they speak all about this mysterious French girl.  Truly an amazing site

70's Vibes

Image
I have collected several vintage 70's blouses and by far this one is my favorite. I have worn it so many times from work, on the weekend, with pants. with shorts and skirts.  So many endless options with this timeless piece. My love for thrifting and finding vintage pieces have grown so much this past year.  I love to give life to older pieces.  I love to mix them with "now" trend like these pair of pink pants.  I added a chain belt and mules for a day at the office. Bell Bottoms

Image
The one denim trend I was very happy to see Gen Z bring back! I will be wearing these pair of jeans nonstop until the hot weather comes to Jersey.  They have the most perfect fit and are super soft.  I dressed them down with a sweater tank and espadrilles this time, but have a concert next week where I will be wearing them with probably a sequins top and gold sandals.   Stay tuned!  Xo, Yaudy Cristina   What I am wearing Lauren Conrad top / Vintage owl necklace / Free people denim / Forever 21 hat ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Similar choices

Bucket List

Image
When was the last time you learned to do something for the first time? I will go first.. I learned to ride a bike at the age of 37 fast forward to 44 and I am finally comfortable.  Trying new things is always a scary thing, but the moment you go through and realize that leraning new things and getting out of your comfort zone it's awesome.  When things do not excite us anymore, are they even worth it?   I see that as a time to get up, get moving and start something new. I have a buck-it list with lots of fun activities I want to do and new things I want to learn. I felt so accomplished when I finally got on my bike and learned on the first try.  The rush and freedom feelings I feel every time I ride my bike are something so fascinating to me.  I get mad at my self for not learning during my childhood, but it was not late to learn, it is actually never too late. I am looking forward to taking "Jasmin" (my bike) out more often this Summer and I think it's about time I r

First Day Back

Image
I am back in the office after almost two and a half years!!    Still cannot wrap my head around how my life changed these last few years.  I was craving seeing other people and having conversations with all those who I have missed so much.  Of course my outfit had to be perfect and even though it was freezing last month, I decided to wear a cropped blazer and faux leather pants for my return. All my outfits have been well planned out and will be coming this way for you to see. Happy Wednesday friends! Vintage Love

Image
A mix of vintage and new.... I have become a vintage lover and vintage collector when it comes to denim.  There is nothing more satisfying than the feeling of a perfectly worn vintage pair of jeans.  In my collection, I have this Calvin Klein, a couple of Liz Claiborne Sport and my favorite pair will always be my Guess.   Every time I wear them it brings back memories to when I was a teenager in the 90's.   I paired them with a floral top, metallic sandals and vintage bag.  Have a wonderful weekend! A Blazer Always Makes It Better

Image
I add a blazer anytime I feel my outfit is missing something ha... It is the best way to elevate a t-shirt and jeans.  This blazer is one of my favorites because is the most springy one I own.  The colors, the  pretty floral print, the style, everything about it is just amazing and I can't wait to style it again. I Am Ready For Spring

Image
Who else? It seems like Spring forgot NJ this time around LOL But I am ready and waiting patiently.  These pictures were taken last year and I am so upset that I waited this long to post them.  I love florals in any type of garment.  These pants have been in closet forever and I don't ever plan to get rid of them.  I have a few more outfits planned with them as the day to return to office is fast approaching. xo, Yaudy Cristina   Outfit Zara top / Francesca's pants /Versona shoes / Vintage Liz Claiborne bag ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Shop Similar
