Paris in September

I am back in the office after almost two and a half years!!    Still cannot wrap my head around how my life changed these last few years.  I was craving seeing other people and having conversations with all those who I have missed so much.  Of course my outfit had to be perfect and even though it was freezing last month, I decided to wear a cropped blazer and faux leather pants for my return. When the outfit is comfortable you wear the not so comfortable shoes, right? I found this set at K-Mart yes, you read that right LOL.. There is only one left in my area and I always go in there and browse every chance I get.   The boots and thrifted leather jacket gave this look the elevated feel I was looking for.  I have worn it with sneakers and a denim jacket and have also styled as separates.   I had a lot of fun this Fall playing with layering and also mixing my thrifted finds with new pieces.  This leather jacket I found at Goodwill for $14 dollars the first time I went thrifting.  I had no idea what I was going to find and I remember being super happy after I spotted it hanging there waiting for me to rescue it. This is definitely one of those pieces I will never get rid of.   Talking about getting rid of things, how many times do you clean your closet?  I always clean it 4 times a year, just so I can keep things neat and of cour...

And this year I learned to appreciate what I already have.... I can't believe that Thanksgiving is tomorrow.  As hard as this year has been I came to the realization that we must be happy for all we have in the present and stop always acknowledging what we did not achieve.  I learned a lot about myself the last couple of months and as cheesy as it sounds I feel blessed.  I know holidays are different this year for a lot of us. Some are going on with their business and some like me are taking precautions.  I know better days are coming and I will reunite with my family I have no doubt that God has a plan, he always does. I heard sweater vests are back and I couldn't be more happier... This year I have enjoyed the transition from Summer to Fall.  Every year I missed the window where you can layer and not have to cover your outfit with a coat.  I am surprised that it is Nov and the weather has been really nice!   Remember when I said I didn't  like shoulder pads? I was wrong.... Happy Monday!!! The Monday after returning from a few days off is always the longest day.  I don't remember that when I was a kid.  I was off last week and I rested, not that I have not been resting since March 14th to be exact, but at least I didn't have to work from home and didn't have to get up early everyday. On to these amazing shorts I got from Mango last month, they fit great! high waisted and so comfortable.  They are the perfect pair to style with crop tops and easy to dress up with a blazer and heels.  I am sure I will be wearing more and more this season. How can jumpsuits be so comfortable, but at the same time annoying? March This month has been the longest month ever.  So much had to get canceled and was left on pending mode.  This month was supposed to be one of the best ever!  I was supposed to be on a panel speaking about heart health and was also supposed to be meeting Melissa Gorga from the RHWONJ.  I am sure all these events will get re-schedule, but the way I feel about this month would never be forgotten. Graphic t-shirts have become my thing... Yes!! I love wearing them with dress pants, jeans and can't wait for Summer to really dress down and paired them with denim shorts.  This was my Christmas outfit, I am a little bit behind since January is almost over, but you get the struggle of the new year LOL I love these pants!! Goodwill jacket/H&M sweater/Zara shorts and shoes/Mandee belt I was sure that by the time these pictures made it to the blog my hair color would be different.  Sure enough, I decided to go a little darker and my bangs are growing.  I don't know how you feel about bangs,  I have a hate/love relationship with them.  I want them when I see them on other people, then I can't wait for them to grow. I wore this back in October to go see a local play.  Granted if they were passing out awards for best dressed, I assure you that it would be mine.  People just don't dress up anymore.  All these pieces are old, with the exception of the jacket.   new to me that is, because this is one of the many fabulous finds I have gotten at Goodwill. H&M top/Forever 21 skirt/Zara sandals It is official I have a thing for touching my hair and closing my eyes when I take pictures LOL I loved this outfit so much,  that I wore it three more times after that and that was only last month.  This skirt I found by accident in the store.  It was the last one and in my size!  you know I could not pass it.  I am probably going to wear it with boots and a black sweater and maybe next time with a blazer.  I just love it.   Also, very sad I got these sandals in late Summer.  I got them at the Zara sale for like $10.  They are the prettiest in person. Express sweater / Uniqlo jeans / Zara sandals There is always something about Fridays that makes me feel happy!   Specially around Fall time.  All the activities the PSL's and the fresh air that is accompany by all this change.  Trees transitioning colors and all of the Fall sweaters and styles I love. This sweater I got a couple of years ago and I don't know why I don't wear it enough.  It's perfect for this time of year's layering, where is 50 degrees in the morning and 70's in the afternoon. Zara headband/H&M shirt/Justfab shoes/Old skirt Mandee I was so happy when I saw headbands come back.  For someone who suffers from migraines and can't really have anything extra tight around the head, I sure love them LOL I got this one at Zara but I should off search more, mine was $19 and after I purchased it I saw them on Amazon for $4!! I was so pissed.  Lesson learned right? I have this skirt for over 10 years and this is the first time I wear it.  I cleaned my closet a couple of weeks ago and found so many items I love and forgot about.  That is what happens when your space is limited and have to hang three things on one hanger. Zara top/Levi's jeans/Express sandals/F21 belt   I don't know what it is with me and jeans, but wearing them is when I feel more comfortable. I own too many pairs but I can't never have enough! And in my defense I always purchase them on sale.  These ones I got last year when Levi's was having a major sale and I scored them for $29.  The 501's are my favorite, they are high wasted, cropped and make my behind look a bit more full. Zara shoes skirt and top Every year when Fall is around the corner all I can think about is the simplicity of dressing during Summer.  I always miss it!  I am not a fan of wearing a coat.  Layering, yes, but not wearing a heavy Winter jacket.  I wore this outfit to the office and I was so comfortable.  It's simple yet appropriate and the shoes are the star of the show. xo, Yaudy Cristina SHOP SIMILAR
