We are in the "in between"  season, the one that you really have no idea what to wear and layer pieces in the morning only to slowly take them off during the day because the temperature changes every hour. Little by little Fall items start to make an appearance and combining  light Summer clothes with booties  seemed just the perfect outfit to put together on Saturday for dinner and a walk in my favorite town of Ridgewood. This one is old so old that the tag was gone, but thanks to my good memory (sometimes lol) I remembered where I got it yearssssss ago.  I still remember buying it for the beach, but to be honest I actually never wore it as a cover-up.  Last time I wore I was on a cruise heading to Puerto Rico and wore like three times on that vacation. Happy Monday!! Two weeks ago we took a drive to the NY Renaissance Faire and oh my, this time it was quite the adventure.  I attended this a couple of years ago and since then it seems like they added a bit more things, it is just like a different world.  There are different activities all around the mini town, food, music and the end of the show is a fight for a princess (what I think it is lol) on horses and a whole bunch of other stuff.   They also sell a ton of stuff , my boyfriend bought a handmade leather belt for $30.  I will never forget eating a huge turkey leg with my hands and just thinking about it now makes me hungry!!  We were also surprised at how we were able walk the town with beer in our hands, the only time I experience that was in Vegas haha This fun adventure runs until the first weekend of October.  So if you are around the area and are looking for something fun to do head over to the faire and I assure you, you will not

Fruit Cobbler I am always searching for easy dessert recipes and this one  (HERE)  I found in Pinterest  has become one of my favorites.   It's easy and delicious! The name "Lazy Man Peach Cobbler" caught my attention instantly.   When I went peach picking  two weeks ago, I had no idea what a fruit cobbler was but, ever since that day I have baked 4 cobblers and all I did with this one was switch the peaches for blueberries and he result was the same.  Needles to say, I had cobbler a whole week for breakfast lol Give it a try! xo, Yaudy Cristina

Forever 21 kimono / Levi's jeans / H&M tank top / Zara sandals Shop Similar It is not a fun thing to wake up and hear all the bad stuff and hatred that's going on in the world.  I am a very positive person, but it's hard not to let fear get in my head sometimes.  With a big trip plan this year, I have to remember that life goes on.  That even though we suffer (we all do around the world) when an unfortunate event happens, we can't let hatred win.   We need God, this world needs more prayer and love, because LOVE always wins. I couldn't start this post with my usual "Happy Friday" it just doesn't feel right.  I am thankful that my two friends living in Barcelona are ok, but sad for all the others affected. Happy Monday friends!!! Since I've been really busy enjoying my Summer I've decided to re-start sharing my series "Weekend Fun".  For a while I stopped, because I either didn't get good pictures or I just didn't do anything interesting but lately all that has changed and I've been doing so much good fun stuff that it would be a crime not to share lol First up is peach picking  A couple of weekends ago w e took a ride out to Warwick NY and went peach picking at Orchs Orchards and let me tell you this place is amazing.   They have peaches, apples, vegetables, animals, a store, a nice garden... I mean they truly have everything!!  Before going there I had no idea what a fruit cobbler was and since my visit I baked 4 peach cobblers lol  In general, Warwick is a very nice town, there are so many good restaurants, the drive in movies and on Sundays they have a large farmers market located in the center of town.   During Fal

The weather has been very unpredictable the last couple of days, that I couldn't help but to take one of my favorite pair jeans out for a spin.   Actually today, I spent most of my day organizing my closets and oh man, I'm craving colder weather but no snow lol  Ruffles are such a big trend right now and I love it!  I own a couple of ruffle tops and this one was one of the newest editions.  I've worn it to the office a couple of times and I love how well it goes with jeans.  I love pieces that can be worn at work and easily transition to weekend attire. The more wears I can get out of an item the better in my book. I am having a busy weekend ahead with a friend's BBQ tomorrow and a nature walk at Liberty State Park on Sunday.  I am really looking forward to some good food, laughs and some sangria. xo, Yaudy Cristina

H&M top /  Bebe skirt / Justfab sandals / Forever 21 sunnies and necklace / Dor L Dor bag Shop Similar Last Tuesday I went to my first Coldplay concert and no lie, it was the best concert I have been in a while.  The lights, the songs, Chris Martin (lol) were perfect.   The concert was held at Metlife Stadium and thankfully we did not have any thunderstorms. it was extremely humid and hot outside so I decided to wear minimal clothes just to stay cool.  I got this Bebe skirt last Winter when the store by the mall had a closing sale.  I love that is high waisted and also love the fringe detail.   Paired with a cropped top,  platform sandals and a embroidered bag it gave a  fun touch to an otherwise plain outfit. xo, Yaudy Cristina

Even though this year is half gone and I really LOVE Summer, I can't wait for the next couple of months to arrive.  I have a couple of big exciting trips coming, that I,  sometimes pinch myself because I can't still believe they will be happening.   I will enjoy the rest of this month with some concerts (Cold Play tonight), a free french class at Coucou, my friend's yearly BBQ and God knows what else my adventurous self will get me into.
